What is the role of a Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO)?

The CCIO provides clinical leadership for digital health within an NHS Trust or ICS. Key responsibilities include clinical governance of digital systems, clinical engagement and change management, clinical configuration and workflow design, chairing clinical design authority groups, and representing the clinical voice at digital programme boards. The CCIO typically reports to the Medical Director and works alongside the CIO.
