What is Germany's DiGA framework?

Germany’s DiGA (Digitale Gesundheitsanwendungen) framework allows statutory health insurers to prescribe certified digital health applications. It provides a formal pathway for digital health apps to be reimbursed within the healthcare system. The UK has studied this model but has not replicated it.
