The Double Diamond (Design Council) has two phases: Diamond 1 (Problem Space) — discover broadly then define the right problem; Diamond 2 (Solution Space) — develop multiple solutions then deliver the most effective one. Between the diamonds sits a clearly articulated problem definition. The most common failure mode in health technology projects is rushing to solutions without adequately exploring the problem space.
