What is the NICE Evidence Standards Framework for Digital Health Technologies?

The NICE Evidence Standards Framework (2019) sets expectations for the evidence required to demonstrate the effectiveness and economic value of digital health technologies. It defines tiered evidence standards based on the function and risk of the technology — from minimum evidence for lower-risk tools (e.g. system services) to best-practice standards for high-risk interventions (e.g. active treatment DTx requiring RCT evidence).
