conceptchapter-36

The six stages are: (1) Identification of unmet clinical need validated against national priorities, (2) Solution development through co-design and iterative prototyping, (3) Evidence generation from pilot studies through to RCTs with health economic modelling, (4) Regulatory approval (UKCA/CE marking, MHRA classification, DCB0129), (5) Commissioning and procurement via NHS Supply Chain or ICB processes, and (6) Adoption and spread supported by Health Innovation Networks, NICE guidance, and the MedTech Funding Mandate.
