What are the 'Five Rights' of clinical decision support?
Described by Osheroff et al. (2007), the Five Rights are: the right information, to the right person, in the right intervention format, through the right channel, at the right time in workflow. Adherence to this framework is associated with higher clinician acceptance and improved patient outcomes. Poorly timed or irrelevant alerts erode trust and are routinely ignored.
